Photography

Commissioned to photograph and film the Bahrain Garden Club’s 2025 RHS Chelsea Flower Show exhibit, this series captures a richly layered, immersive installation designed by Jon Wheatley, which was awarded a Silver Gilt Medal.

Housed within the Great Pavilion, the exhibit celebrated Bahrain’s cultural and horticultural heritage through a vivid display of native plants, including date palms, alongside evocative elements such as a traditional banoosh boat and a life-size camel model. With no hard landscaping, the focus was on texture, symbolism, and storytelling—offering a sensory journey through Bahrain’s landscape traditions.

My aim was to reflect this atmosphere through stills and video—capturing both the visual richness and the quiet narrative moments of the space. From close-ups of botanical detail to wide compositions featuring the boat and camel, the work honours the exhibit’s artistry and intent.

This commission highlights how gardens can tell cultural stories—and how photography and film can bring those stories to life long after the show ends.
