James Rudoni
Photographer & Filmmaker
I specialise in photographing architecture, gardens and landscapes with a careful eye for composition, light and atmosphere. My work is grounded in authenticity and shaped by an instinct for storytelling, creating images that feel both considered and quietly powerful.
As former Director of Gardens at the Royal Horticultural Society, I bring a deep understanding of horticultural design and spatial structure. Years spent walking historic landscapes and leading complex garden estates have given me an appreciation of how places are composed, how they mature, and how light moves across them through the day and the seasons. That insight informs every frame, allowing me to reveal the character of a landscape through texture, form and perspective rather than surface detail alone.
With more than thirty years of experience behind me, I continue to draw on an early fascination with narrative and the way imagery can shape how we see the world.
I am a graduate of the British Academy of Photography and a member of the Professional Garden Photographers Association, combining technical discipline with a creative sensibility that elevates each collaboration and ensures imagery that endures.
